Just like any other things, the most expensive mobile phones may really mean that "Oh, it packs all that functions and features, and everything." The selection can be easily come into the conclusion, if you are the one who wants the so-called "best" things. Well, just ignore this paragraph, I don't really understand what I'm trying to say. Skip this.
Okay, my first phone of this year is iPhone 4. This phone is special, enough. It is the first phone I ever changed, just for somebody. Perhaps, affected by somebody. Such a nice memory, although it is undeniably so over. Forget about that, I'm now talking about phones. iPhone 4 is certainly not the best device for me, in some aspects. Yes, I bought it after 4s comes out. (Which makes me in dilemma whether I want to switch to 4s or not, now and then.) Based on financial condition, and my way of expense in mobile phones, I'm not that kind of people who will throw huge amount of money into a SINGLE phone. You can see the SINGLE word means. HAHAHA. At first I just want to try it out, as I never use any iPhone in my history. It turns out quite satisfying. Okay, if I have to compare, the performance wise, for sure my previous Galaxy S2 is faster, and iPad 2 also, very fast. But in term of usability, I mean, I really use it a lot, I want to bring it out everytime, it's not as bulky as some 4-point-something-inch-display devices. Not to mention, the famous choice Galaxy Note (5.3") and even bigger Galaxy Tabs. When I get back from 7" Tab, I feel totally... relax and free of burden. Galaxy S2 is slim and light-weight enough, but it is a little wide. Anyway, this is just personal preference. I've heard people complaining that 3.5" is so outdated and too small, and they are going for big and huge size devices. After few months of using 4.3" and 7", eventually I'm tired of them. Sometimes, small is good. It's quite convenient. When I want to jump... LOL... jump.
The second phone is quite out-of-sudden. Heard of CSL? I got CSL MI410. It has many names as I know, which related to the same device, such as Motorola Triump and Huawei X6. Here I can say, the brand name means a lot, and costs a lot. It's an Android device, with Gingerbread. It has 1GHz Qualcomm single core processor, this is unbelievable, it is same as some well-known devices such as Galaxy S, Desire, Xperia Arc blablabla. Those example are expensive compared to this CSL phone, almost double the price of it. I mean, at the same processor speed and specification. It has all the others have, such as GPS, large screen (4.1"), WIFI. The drawback I can see is the touchscreen sensitivity and the camera. That's maybe the reasons why it is so cheap compared to those well-known brands. Anyway, for daily usage, I find that it is up to my requirement.
OK, so this year I've tried Apple and CSL.
Regarding the price drop, I would like to list down some of the phones that I'm interested in:
Samsung Infuse 4G
- I like this design so much. Although spec wise it is not surprising, but I just want to feel, how does 4.5" feel in hand. LOL.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
- The price I mention is price for AP set. And its price is dropping like hell. This week, it drops reaching around RM1.25k. OMG this is so tempting for such a huge device, and ICS.
iPhone 4s
- As I mentioned, supposingly its an upgrade from iPhone 4. But is it really worthy? Its price is still on the high-side.
Samsung Galaxy Note
- Yah almost everyone wants it, after Galaxy S2. It's certainly an upgrade after S2 and its price for AP set is now ONLY around RM1.5k. It's a 6-months-old device, and S3 is coming, that's why its price drops. So probably I'll make a tough comparison between Note and S3. Usually I pick the aesthetic ones. LOL. No I didn't say S3 is ugly, no.
There's still some other phones in the middle end that I keep an eye on them. Such as Desire HD, Milestone, in order to replace my second phone. I don't really want the comparison on spec, I prefer the real life usability. Blah, crap again.
OK, till next then.
